Meet Some of our
Amazing Families!

Meet the Fletcher family!

The Fletcher's are truly dedicated to the science of discovering how children learn! Edward, now 7-years-old, has been participating since he was just 11-months-old! Brother George, now 5-years-old, and sister Charlotte, now 4-years-old, have been participating since they were infants! Mom, Nadia is a stay-at-home mom, a birthday planner, and the Events Cordinator for CLV Mops, and dad, Garrett is a machinist at AGM.

"We like participating because we get to serve as help to others in the future, and that is big! I want my kids to have serving hearts and think of others, participating in studies is a fun way they can, but they also get to still be kids and enjoy play time with the lab members! It also is a great way for my children to be familiarized with being on a college campus. I don't want College to be a scary thing for my children, I want it to feel like home. Everyone we have ever worked with at the UofA has been kind and fun to work with." - Nadia Fletcher

Meet the Sandoval-Marchand family!

The Sandoval-Marchand family are Wildcats through and through! Reagan, now 4-years-old, has been participating since she was just 5.5-months-old. Mom, Elizabeth is a Senior Academic Advisor in the Psychology Department here at the University of Arizona and dad, Chad is the Project Coordinator for the Center for Climate Adaptation Science and Solutions/Haury Native Nations Climate Adaptation Program.

"We have been super excited to have Reagan contribute to science, especially in our home community. She has earned funds to contribute to her future college fund and received books and developmental toys by participating and that’s just an extra plus! Now that Reagan is older, she is proud to have earned her certificates of participation that we’ve kept in her baby book." - Elizabeth Sandoval-Marchand

Meet the Munusamy family!

After meeting the Munusamy family at the Baby Fair in 2016, Shehanaaz and Nalan have visited the lab many times! Mom, Sheeba has been teaching yoga for 15 years, and dad, Elango is an Assistant Research Scientist in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry here at the University of Arizona.

"We had the opportunity to know about the Child Cognition Lab in 2016. It was a nice meeting and the information on the child studies undertaken at the lab were really interesting. From then on, our kids, Shehanaaz and Nalan are very happy to be a part of the research. They enjoy every moment in the department and the students are very kind and jovial. We are happy to know Child Cognition Lab and we have recommended our colleagues and friends to participate in the study." - Elango Munusamy
